The BAB Network engages with the US and UK governments on a broad range of policy issues impacting the flow of goods and services between the UK and North America. Duncan Edwards, OBE, CEO of British American Business (London/New York chapter), represents all the chapters in these endeavors with governments and other relevant stakeholders.

British American Business 2026 Policy Agenda
The British American Business (BAB) has published its 2026 Policy Agenda setting out business-led recommendations to strengthen the US-UK economic corridor at a time of heightened geopolitical uncertainty, evolving trade policy and national security concerns.
The British Business Bank is the UK Government’s national economic development bank.
Its mission is to drive economic growth by helping smaller businesses get the finance they need to start, scale and stay in the UK.

The Industrial Strategy is a 10-year plan to increase business investment and grow the industries of the future in the UK. The Strategy will make it quicker and easier for business to invest and will provide the certainty and stability needed for long-term investment decisions.
UK-US Economic Prosperity Deal
BAB published its one-year progress review of the UK-US Economic Prosperity Deal (EPD), assessing delivery to date and identifying remaining gaps.
The review finds that while the EPD has delivered targeted tariff mitigation and incremental progress in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and pharmaceuticals, it remains a framework rather than a fully implemented trade deal.

This policy paper argues that while the US and UK are pursuing different energy strategies based on domestic priorities, both governments share the same objective to deliver secure, affordable energy while supporting growth.
